From classic styles to fun, fancy, modern and sporty attire, Raelyn Fashions reflects the interests and needs of our clients and represents a true standard of luxury in fine apparel. Whether it is a practical car coat, sophisticated sweater set, an elegant shawl, a fun and whimsical teddy bear or super comfy pair of slippers, there is something in “Alpaca” waiting for you!
What is an Alpaca? Alpacas are small, gentle animals raised primarily for their soft, luxurious fiber. They are native to the high Andes Mountains of South America where at one time their precious fleece was worn only by royalty. Alpacas produce over twenty natural shades of exquisite fiber. Its unique hollow core gives it incredible thermal properties to warm its wearer against even the harshest winter chills yet so lightweight that many fashions can be used year round. Alpaca is hypoallergenic in nature and resistant to water and pilling. Most people who have wool based allergies will not be allergic to alpaca. Alpaca does not have the lanolin found in wool.(Lanolin holds dust and microscopic allergens that often create allergies associated to wool) We use only the finest of grades in our clothing to eliminate the “itch” often associated with these types of fiber. With over 80 items available, you can just sit back, browse and shop our web site from the comfort of your home 24 hours a day. Have a question? Give us a call at 419-443-1424. We guarantee our products and service and have no doubt you will love the feel as you wrap yourself up in alpaca! Note : Alpacas are not killed to obtain their fiber. An Alpacas valuable fleece is harvested annually by shearing them in a way similar to the way sheep are shorn each spring. This keeps them much cooler and happier in warm weather and it returns by the time cool weather comes again.
